Sweet little hotel, very easy check-in with no front desk staff, just use the front door code that’s texted and grab your room key from the table. Everything went smoothly and the room was tasteful, clean, and charming. My partner left his headphones and they texted and mailed them to us! So kind! Thank you!!
10+ What makes the hotel so special, the cleanliness, amenities, closeness to surroundings. There’s a market that is fully stocked with anything you need just yards away, a bakery that serves espressos, and a bread you would absolutely die for. Once your at the hotel there’s 4 directions you can go Petaluma, Marshall-Stinson Beach-Muir Woods, Dillon Beach, Bodega Bay-Jenner. The location of the hotel is a perfect place to reserve, you would sleep in absolute comfort and quietness knowing when you wake you have a multitude of sites to visit and see. My guests and I totally enjoyed our stay, we cannot wait to come back. Thanks Bill P
I really enjoyed my stay here. Nice and quiet place to hang your hat for a night on your way somewhere. The short scenic ride to the Bodega Bay Sunset is a good way to spend your evening while at The Tomales Hotel.
Had a lovely stay at stay at Tomales Hotel. Booking was smooth and communicating with Rachel was easy and she was very responsive. We were in the area for the year round offering of the bioluminescence kayak tour through blue water kayak and it was such an amazing experience. The hotel is about 7 minutes from the boat launch. 10/10 recommend this hotel and the kayak tour! We stayed in room 9. King bed,ADA compliant bathroom so it’s very spacious. Room has a couch and swanky electric fire console. Bed and pillows are plush and comfy. It’s a sleepy small town, there’s a bakery across the street with great coffee and baked goods and I heard their pizza is off the hook! We visited end of July 2025.
Cute, comfy and very accessible hotel perfectly positioned in between a bunch of various activities and sights to see. Recommend anyone looking for a weekend getaway to a peaceful and serene landscape Amazing seafood and hikes, and many small towns with great history all around as well
*Hidden gem*. This far exceeded our expectations during recent stay, a historic fully restored hotel set in tiny village with old charm on US route 1. Just an hour’s drive from San Francisco, it’s a serene escape where you can watch cows grazing on the picturesque hills right across, grab an incredible coffee or a bite at the local fresh bakery. Only two miles from Dillon Beach, multiple hikes also not too far from Petaluma downtown with excellent food options. We look forward to returning regularly to just to relax.
It was a quick get away . Nice old hotel with history. It was a easy access room was clean .
Great location between Bodega Bay and Point Reyes. The post office, a general store, and a cute local bakery/restaurant are also just across the street from this hotel. We appreciated the old-school decor, yet everything was very clean and functional. Coffee & tea were also available in the lobby. It’s self check-in, but the process was simple and easy. Just remember to check your email for the door code! We would stay here again.
